Suzuki has launched the special edition model of its quarter-litre fully-faired motorcycle, the Gixxer SF 250. The motorcycle has been priced at Rs 1,71,456 (ex-showroom, Delhi) which is a premium of around Rs 1000 over the standard model.
Similar to the recently launched MotoGP edition of the Gixxer SF 155, the SF 250 also features Suzuki’s Racing Blue colour and livery theme of the brand’s 2019 MotoGP machine, the GSX-RR. The motorcycle boasts of Team Suzuki Ecstar decals and pinstriping on the wheels which accentuates the overall appeal of the motorcycle. Besides the cosmetic changes, the motorcycle remains unchanged.
The Gixxer SF 250 is powered by a 249cc, oil-cooled, single-cylinder motor which churns out 26.1bhp of power and 22.6Nm of torque. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch wheels which are suspended by telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking hardware consists of disc brakes at both ends which are assisted by dual-channel ABS as standard.
As for the deliveries of the Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP edition, it is available at all dealerships across India. In terms of competition, the motorcycle locks horns with the Honda CBR250R in India.
