Suzuki had announced that they would launch their new Gixxer SF motorcycle on April 7 at an event in Delhi and before the launch, the brochures of the bike have been already leaked.
Unlike the five colour options for its naked sibling - the Gixxer, the new Gixxer SF will be available only in three colours - blue, black and white. The new motorcycle is based on the Gixxer and shares most of the components like the seats, rear section, suspension set-up and tyres. The addition is the new fairing with funky decals that give it a sporty look.
The faired version of the Gixxer is powered by the same 155cc single-cylinder air-cooled carbureted engine that powers the naked sibling. There are no changes to the powertrain. The company has neither retuned the engine nor increased the power of the mill to account for the additional weight of the fairing. This means, the current powerplant also produces 14.59bhp of power and 14Nm of torque and comes mated to a five-speed gearbox.
Promoted as 'The Street Sport Bike', the Gixxer SF is the fully-faired version of the Suzuki Gixxer. The additional fairing means the new product will be priced at a slight premium over the naked Gixxer. The Gixxer SF will compete with the Yamaha Fazer V2.0 and the Honda CBR150R when it goes on sale on April 7.
