Suzuki Gixxer SF launched for Rs 83,889

Suzuki has launched their new Gixxer SF motorcycle for Rs 83,889 (Ex-showroom New-Delhi). This is the fully-faired version of the Suzuki Gixxer and the company is promoting it as 'The Street Sport Bike'.

The new Suzuki Gixxer SF is based on the Gixxer and shares most of the components with its sibling. The SF gets a new fairing with funky decals that give it a sporty look. It extends right up to the front of the engine. Most of the other components have been directly carried over from the Gixxer, like the seats, rear section and tyres are exactly the same. 

There are no changes to the powertrain and the Gixxer SF is powered by the same 155cc single-cylinder air-cooled carbureted engine from the Gixxer. This mill churns out 14.59bhp of power and 14Nm of torque and comes mated to a five-speed gearbox.

Unlike the five colour options for its naked sibling, the Gixxer, the new Gixxer SF will be available only in three colours - blue, black and white. It is slotted above the naked Gixxer and will come as an option for Indian consumers looking for a fully-faired bike. With its introduction to the Indian market, the faired Gixxer competes with the Yamaha Fazer V2.0 and the Honda CBR150R.
