- Sold 52,237 units in April which is 44 per cent more than April 2017
- Access 125 continues to be its highest seller
- Burgman Street launch is expected to take place in the next few months
Suzuki Motorcycle India has started the new financial year with a whopping growth of 44 per cent. The company sold 52,237 units in April whereas it sold 36,307 units in the same month last year.
The company doesn’t reveal model-wise sales figure, but we believe the massive growth is a result of strong demand for the Access 125 scooter. Its last launch, the Intruder 150 has also been able to gain more share for the company. Unfortunately, the demand for the Gixxer series has been decreasing over the last few months. But the Japanese maker is expecting sales to go up in the next few months.
Suzuki has also started looking at the premium end of the market more seriously. After launching the locally assembled Hayabusa a few months ago, the company has launched the GSX-S750 in India. In fact, this streetfighter is being assembled alongside the Hayabusa at their Haryana facility. The Burgman Street scooter is the next product launch from Suzuki. This launch is expected to take place during the festive season.
