Suzuki India has reported its highest ever sales in India in August 2017. The company saw a whopping increase of 54.3 per cent in its overall sales last month.
The company sold 56,745 units in August 2017 and a total of 2,23,552 units between April and August 2017. While the company doesn’t reveal its model-wise figures, a close look at the company’s old retail sales shows the Access contributing the most sales, followed by the Gixxer range. The Japanese manufacturer is expecting to generate more sales through the ABS and special edition of the Gixxers.
Suzuki’s two mass market products, the Hayate and the Lets failed to entice the Indian buyers. Due to this, the company hasn’t been able to get volumes likes its rivals. Suzuki’s flagship motorcycle, the Hayabusa continues to be the highest selling superbike in India, thanks to its CKD operations.
