Suzuki has unveiled the 2018 models of the GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R with new colour schemes. However, the bikes don’t have any mechanical changes.
The GSX-R1000 now sports a white paint scheme with blue stripes and wheels and matte black with blue graphics. The higher-spec GSX-R1000R also gets the same white and blue theme, but it stands out with its body-coloured front air intakes and blue front forks. It also gets a gloss black paint scheme with grey graphics along with the blue wheels and forks.
The bikes use a 999cc in-line four cylinder engine that produces 196bhp and 117Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox with final chain drive. The electronic package includes a six-axis IMU, 10-level traction control, and three riding modes. The ‘R’ version gets additional features like a bi-directional quickshifter, Showa balance-free suspension, launch control and cornering ABS.
We can expect the bikes with updated colour schemes to be launched in India in the first half of 2018.
