Suzuki is celebrating the 2021 MotoGP championship win with the introduction of Legend Edition of the GSX-R1000R. The Japanese brand will offer seven liveries that would be inspired by their MotoGP championship winning motorcycles. Each motorcycle will be distinguished by different colours and decals, while the Akrapovic exhaust system will come as standard. The Legend Edition also get a pillion seat cowl for a sportier look.
The list of the esteemed riders to have won the MotoGP championships onboard Suzuki includes Barry Sheene (1976 and 1977), Marco Lucchinelli (1981), Franco Uncini (1982), Kevin Schwantz (1993), Kenny Roberts Jr (2000), and Joan Mir (2020). The differences are limited to the colours and decals. Everything else is identical to the standard GSX-R1000R.
Thus, the limited edition motorcycle will pack a muscular design along with full-LED lighting, digital instrument cluster, adjustable suspension setup, and a comprehensive rider-aid package. The Legend Edition will not be available in the Indian market.
