The latest bike from Suzuki – the GSX-R150 has entered the production. The bike was unveiled at the 2016 Indonesian Motorcycle show along with the GSX-S150.
The design inspiration for the GSX-F150 comes from Suzuki’s litre-class sibling – the GSX-R1000. The additional usage of MotoGP livery takes the sporty look of this bike to a different level. The full digital instrument cluster has been taken from the Gixxer.
The Suzuki GSX-R150 is powered by a 147cc liquid-cooled fuel-injected single-cylinder engine. This motor delivers 18.2bhp and 13.8Nm of torque through a six-speed transmission. They ride on conventional telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. The bike is equipped with disc brake at the front and as well as the rear.
The Suzuki GSX-R150 will hit the Indonesia showroom early next month. It will compete with the KTM RC200 and the Honda CBR150R. The Indian arm of Suzuki is yet to confirm the launch of this bike. We would like to see the GSX-R150 in the Indian showrooms. The Yamaha YZF-R15 and the KTM RC200 were accepted well in India. So if priced well, the GSX-R150 would bring good sales for the Japanese manufacturer.
