We had reported a few days ago that Suzuki has issued a recall for over 600 GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F in the US. Fortunately, owners of these bikes in India can breathe a sigh of relief as the Japanese manufacturer has confirmed that the motorcycles sold here aren’t affected by this recall.
The recall covers GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F models that were manufactured between July 10 and August 24, and July 21 and July 27 respectively. The affected motorcycles were fitted with a faulty seal in the front brake piston cylinder. This defective sealing could lead to leakage of braking fluid over time, thereby damaging the surface of the piston cylinder and possibly leading to a crash.
