- It is called as the Houjue DR300 in China
- Suzuki’s Chinese partner Houjue Motorcycles will sell it
- This bike won’t come to India
The Suzuki GSX-S300 has been revealed in China at the Chongqing Mobo Fair 2018. It will be called the Houjue DR300 in that country since it will be sold by Houjue Motorcycles; the Chinese partner of Suzuki.
The design of the Suzuki GSX-S300 resembles that of its litre-class sibling, the GSX-S1000 with aggressive style cues. There’s a triangular LED headlamp, nicely designed bikini fairing, muscular fuel tank and a pointed upswept tail section. The chunky golden USD forks enhance its appeal.
The GSX-S300 gets 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 110/70 section front tyre and 140/60 section Pirelli Diablo Rosso III rear tyres. A 298mm petal disc at the front and a smaller rotar at the rear handle the braking duties while dual channel ABS is offered as a standard fitment.
The Suzuki GSX-S300 carries a 298cc, four-valve, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor mated to a six-speed gearbox. The exact power figures have not been revealed by the company.
The Suzuki GSX-S300 (Houjue DR300) will be sold only in China and it won’t come to India. However, the Japanese bike-maker is perhaps developing a similar motorcycle for our country.
