Suzuki has launched the 25th Anniversary Celebration Edition of the Hayabusa in India. This special edition is priced at Rs. 17.70 lakh (ex-showroom) and pays homage to Hayabusa's legacy, that is, when it was first introduced in 1998 at the Intermot show in Germany. The special edition model costs Rs. 80,000 more than the standard model, which is priced at Rs. 16.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Suzuki Hayabusa 25th Anniversary Celebration Edition features an orange and black paint scheme with an anodised golden drive chain and front inner disc rotors. It gets a 25th-anniversary emblem and a 3D Suzuki logo on the fuel tank. Moreover, it features a 25th-anniversary engraving on the exhaust canister and the Hayabusa Kanji logo on the drive chain. Furthermore, the single-seat tail cowl is offered as standard on this celebratory edition.
Meanwhile, the special edition model doesn’t get any mechanical updates and it continues to be powered by a 1,340cc, in-line four-cylinder motor that produces 190bhp at 9,700rpm and 142Nm at 7,000rpm. The engine is coupled to a six-speed gearbox.
The Hayabusa comes equipped with the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.). This includes a traction control system and a bi-directional quickshifter. The Hayabusa is Suzuki’s flagship offering in India and doesn’t have any direct rival.
