- Bol d’Or edition unveiled in France
- Limited to 100 units only
- Gets performance updates over the base model
Suzuki has taken the wraps off its latest version of the Hayabusa, dubbed the Bol d’Or edition. And now, the Japanese hypersport comes with a slew of cosmetic, and mechanical updates. Let’s take a look at it.
While the Bol d’Or retains the essence of the Hayabusa, it features a new paint scheme of golden and black with the Bol d’Or sticker on the side fairing. Even the windscreen is larger than the stock unit and the special edition also features a flatter saddle, new rear seat cowl, front brake and clutch lever upgrade, and a shorter tail.
It’s powered by the same 1,340cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder motor. But the stock exhaust has made for a new Akrapovic unit which should likely alter the output by a bit. The engine crankcase cover is now made of carbon fibre and Suzuki will also offer the owners a free rug for their bike.
Lastly, the Suzuki Hayabusa Bol d’Or is limited to just 100 units and will only be sold in the French market. With an asking price of EUR 27,499 (approximately Rs 22.60 lakh sans taxes), the limited edition costs a premium over the standard model. As of now, Suzuki India only offers the standard trim here with an asking price of Rs 16.41 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
