- Expected to arrive in Rs 16-18 lakh range
- Makes 187.7bhp and 150Nm
Suzuki Motorcycle India has confirmed via its social media handles that the 2021 Hayabusa will arrive in our market very soon. While the company has not announced a launch date, it has confirmed that the latest iteration of the motorcycle will arrive in the Indian market in April 2021. The new model packs premium hardware and new features which will push the prices higher over the discontinued model. Thus, we expect the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa to arrive in the Rs 16-18 lakh (ex-showroom) price range.
The 2021 Hayabusa was revealed in February this year, and the motorcycle is already available for sale in the European market. The 2021 model comes in two-tone colours, LED headlight, a semi-digital instrument cluster, split-style saddle, and twin-sided exhaust cannisters. The motorcycle tips the weighing scale at 264kg (kerb).
The displacement isn’t very different from the old model, although the 2021 Hayabusa gets updates to comply with the newest emission norms. The Euro5-compliant, 1,340cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine makes 187.7bhp of maximum power at 9,700rpm and 150Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. Other updates to the 2021 model include a ride-by-wire electronic throttle system and a revised intake and exhaust mechanism.
The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa will rival the likes of Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX in the Indian market.
