This year’s BikeWale track day was a little more special than the previous one because we took the legendary Suzuki Hayabusa on the track. And considering it’s a much better motorcycle than the previous iterations, the whole experience ended up being even more memorable. Now, if you want to read our track experience with the Busa, click here. You can also watch Vikrant’s hot lap video review attached below. In this post, let’s check out some of the drool-worthy pictures from our track review of the Hayabusa.
The peregrine falcon is propelled by a 1,340cc, inline four-cylinder engine that belts out 187.3bhp of power and 150Nm of peak torque.
Although that’s a considerable drop as compared to its predecessor, on the MMRT, it was way more than adequate. The motorcycle felt nothing short of a ballistic missile, especially on the straights.
For keeping the rider safe from going overboard with all the power on tap, Suzuki has bestowed the motorcycle with a bunch of electronic aids.
Features like traction control and anti-lift control proved to be big boons in keeping the rear wheel from washing out and preventing other potential mishaps.
The Hayabusa is underpinned by a twin-spar aluminum frame that has oodles of feedback and is communicative. For its size and weight, the motorcycle is incredibly easy to switch directions and tip into corners.
Well, riding this giant sport tourer on the MMRT had its own challenges as well. Owing to the suspension setup being tuned majorly for touring, pushing it too hard around corners made the bike weave significantly.
Regardless of the challenges, Vikrant concluded that the Suzuki Hayabusa is a satisfying and entertaining motorcycle to ride on the track.
