Suzuki Two Wheelers India is planning to launch their quarter litre motorcycle in India called the Inazuma 250 aka, the GW250. Bike India claims that the new the 250cc motorcycle will be launched in India by mid-2013.
The B-King inspired motorcycle is powered by a 248cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces 26bhp at 8500rpm and torque of 24.2Nm. The engine is known for low and mid-range power with decent fuel efficiency. The engine is mated to six-speed gearbox and the motorcycle has a kerb weight of 182kgs – that is quite heavy for a 250cc naked motorcycle.
We are expecting the company to price the GW250 somewhere in the range of Rs 1.80 lakh and Rs 2.20 lakh after CKD assembly from Gurgaon plant. It will directly compete with the Honda CBR250R. Bajaj will launch the Duke 390 in the same price bracket, so both the 250cc bikes will have even stiffer competition soon.
