Suzuki Motorcycle India has confirmed that they will be launching their much awaited quarter litre bike, the Inazuma aka GW250, in the Indian market, next month. This news was confirmed to autocarpro by a company official.
The GW250 will come to India through the completely-knocked-down (CKD) route and will be assembled at Suzuki’s Gurgaon Plant. Pricing will be a key factor for the company as there are many other motorcycles present with a competitive price tag. The bike will compete with the Honda CBR250R, KTM 390 Duke , Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the soon-to-be-launched Mahindra Mojo 300.
The B-King inspired motorcycle is powered by a 248cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces 26bhp at 8500rpm and torque of 24.2Nm. The engine is known for low and mid-range power with decent fuel efficiency. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and the motorcycle has a kerb weight of 182kgs which is quite heavy for a 250cc naked motorcycle.
Expect Suzuki to price the Inazuma 250 in the range of Rs 1.80 lakh and Rs 2.20 lakh. Stay tuned to BikeWale as we get more details on this bike.
