If you're one of those who believed that the Inazuma was irrationally overpriced, there is no reason to complain any more – Suzuki has quietly dropped the price of its 250cc sports cruiser. And it isn’t a small price cut either; the Japanese motorcycle brand, in fact, has dropped the prices by nearly Rs 1 lakh which is a massive figure for a motorcycle. Our sources have confirmed the pricing with a few Suzuki dealers in the National Capital Region.
Suzuki India brings the Inazuma to India via CKD (completely knocked down) route and assembles it at its Gurgaon facility. The B-King inspired motorcycle uses a 248cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces 26bhp of power at 8,500rpm and torque of 24.2Nm. Despite the low power output for a 250cc parallel twin motor, the Inazuma’s engine impresses with its low and mid-range power and overall smoothness throughout the rev range.
Thanks to the price cut, the Inazuma is now available for Rs 2.35 lakh on-road Delhi, as against the outgoing price of Rs 3.25 lakh. At such a price point, the Inazuma now makes a lot of sense - something we never thought we would say for this impressive motorcycle.
