Suzuki India launches ECSTAR oil for Gixxer and big bike range

Suzuki has launched ECSTAR engine oil brand in the Indian market. Called the ECSTAR R9000, this engine oil is compatible with the Gixxer range as well the big bikes like the Hayabusa, GSX-R1000 and the GSX-R1000R. 

The ECSTAR R9000 is a fully-synthetic engine oil developed especially for Suzuki motorcycles. Suzuki claims that it offers a longer life-cycle for motorcycles along with lower maintenance and fuel costs. The oil has been engineered to make the engine durable in unfavourable riding conditions like uneven roads, extreme weather and in the presence of contaminants. Besides, it also offers improved throttle response, smoother acceleration and performance. Fuel efficiency is claimed to have improved by 3.5 per cent while the performance increase is around 2.8 per cent. 

The ECSTAR brand was first introduced by Suzuki in 1984, and is currently sold across Europe, America, Mexico, Australia and South East Asia. The ECSTAR R9000 is now available only at authorized Suzuki two-wheeler dealerships in India, however, the company plans to improve the reach subsequently. It is priced at Rs 599 per litre.
