Suzuki India may launch a new 110cc scooter on January 27

Just yesterday we got the news of Suzuki launching two new products on January 27. Autocar Pro has now reported that the company will reveal an all-new 110cc scooter for the Indian market. This scooter may be one of the two products that will be launched on January 27.

This new scooter has been developed on a completely new platform with a new engine that is expected to churn out power in the range of 7-8bhp. As per a source, the company has been working on this 110cc engine for quite some time now as it wants to strengthen its foothold in the 110cc segment, which is currently dominated by Honda Activa. The company is betting big on this model and hence has been very secretive about it. Not a single instance of spy pictures has surfaced on the web, clearly indicating that Suzuki wants to keep it under wraps.

Currently, Suzuki has the Access and the Swish under their scooter portfolio. With the addition of this new model, the company wants to increases its overall market share in the scooter segment.  This scooter will compete with the Honda Activa and the TVS Jupiter and is expected to be priced between Rs 42,000 and Rs 45,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
