Suzuki Motorcycle India Ltd. plans to increase their dealerships to 1,500 units. The manufacturer has received a good response for their products in India and this has encouraged the company to formulate their dealership expansion plans on an ambitious scale.
To cater to increasing demand of two-wheelers from their line-up, and to reach out to a wider audience, Suzuki plans to up the number of dealer touch-points to 1,500 by March 2016. At present, Suzuki has only 800 dealers operational across our country.
At the start of 2014, Suzuki had announced that they will boost their production capacity to one million in three years’ time. With that now in place, the increasing demand of motorcycles will be met, but Suzuki's concern now is to widen their dealer network in India. This will not only help them extending their services across India, but also help them getting close to their target of increasing their market share. They aim to get five per cent from a current one per cent in the motorcycle segment, which will eventually happen with the effective sales of vehicles through their widespread dealerships.
