Few days ago, we had reported about the possible launch of the Suzuki GSX-S1000 and the GSX-1000SF in June. Now Suzuki has gone ahead and teased both the bikes on their official website.
While the company has given all details of both the bikes on their official website, they have disabled the prices page. The Japanese manufacturer took the decision to bring these bikes due to the double digit growth in the superbike segment. Over the last few years, many motorcycle manufactures like Triumph, Kawasaki and Harley-Davidson has got majority of their superbike range to India. This has not only increased their sales chart but also grown the segment and now, Suzuki wants to be a part of it.
Both the bikes the GSX-S1000 and the GSX-S1000F are powered by a 999cc, four-stroke, in-line four-cylinder, liquid-cooled petrol engine that churns out 145bhp of power and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The different safety features on the bikes include ABS, traction control, riding modes. The GSX-S1000 and the GSX-S1000F will be sold in India as a completely-built-up (CBU) unit. Due to the heavy taxation, we are expecting both the bikes to be priced close to Rs 14 lakh.
Stay tuned to BikeWale as we will get you more details on the Suzuki bikes.
