- Intruder 150 taken off official website
- Could be due to low sales
- Was priced at Rs 1.28 lakh
Launched in late 2017, the Suzuki Intruder 150 was the Japanese manufacturer’s answer to the Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise. Now, a little over four years later, Suzuki has pulled the plug on the cruiser-styled motorcycle.
The reason for the discontinuation of the Intruder 150 is its sales which have been plummeting since early 2021. Even though it was priced nearly Rs 10,000 lesser than the Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220, which costs Rs 1.37 lakh (ex-showroom), the latter is more powerful. Moreover, the Intruder’s rather unconventional styling could also be another reason for its downfall.
However, its streetfighter counterpart- the Gixxer 155 has been raking in relatively decent numbers even though it has been priced Rs 6,000 over the Intruder. Well, that brings us to the Intruder 250. Even though it has already been patented here, it is unlikely to be launched in India given the fate of the Intruder 150.
