Suzuki is all set to launch their latest product, an entry-level cruiser, the Intruder 150 . The Bajaj Avenger rival will be launched on 7 November.
It’s clear from the leaked pictures that the Intruder 150 has borrowed some styling from its big cousin, the M1800R Intruder. The big headlamp assembly, sloping body lines and a bulky tail section are some of the traits carried forward from the 1800cc sibling. This cruiser also gets LED projector headlight, taillight and instrument cluster integrated on the handlebar.
The Intruder 150 gets its power from the 154cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor that powers the Gixxer family. This motor produces 14bhp and 14Nm of peak torque and is mated to a five-speed gearbox. Suzuki has equipped the bike with a 11-litres fuel tank which should be decent enough for long hauls. This Suzuki tips the scale at 148kg. The bike also gets anti-lock braking system (ABS) but it is likely to be a single-channel unit just like the one on the Gixxer SF.
Suzuki has decided to focus more on the premium end of the segment. The Intruder 150 is one of the first product launches that is expected to get some market share for the company. We’re expecting this Suzuki to have a starting price of at least Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
