- Suzuki Intruder BS6 price hiked by Rs 2,141 in India
- Carries a price tag of Rs 1,22,141 (ex-showroom, Delhi) now
- Goes up against the Bajaj Avenger Street 160
Suzuki has increased the price of its 155cc modern cruiser, the Intruder BS6, in India. The updated model compliant with new emission norms was launched in March this year, carrying a price tag of Rs 1,20,000. After the price revision, it has become Rs 2,141 more expensive and costs Rs 1,22,141 now. Notably, its closest rival, the Bajaj Avenger Street 160, is much more affordable at Rs 94,893 (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Suzuki Intruder boasts of a profoundly flamboyant design with large and swooping body panels with certain attention-seeking elements such as a triangular headlamp and dual exhaust canister. The manufacturer retained the same styling with the BS6 update. What’s changed is the 155cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine which emits cleaner exhaust gases now. The power figures stand at 13.41bhp and 13.8Nm and it comes mated to a five-speed gearbox.
The Intruder BS6 is equipped with an LED headlamp, as opposed to the conventional unit in its BS4 counterpart. Rest of the features remain the same including LED tail lamp, fully-digital instrument cluster, 11 litre fuel tank and single channel ABS. Furthermore, the cycle parts have also remained unchanged with a single downtube chassis, telescopic forks, monoshock and disc brakes at both ends.
In other news, Suzuki has also increased the prices of its 155cc Gixxer twins along with their larger 250cc siblings.
