Suzuki recently launched the Intruder FI in the Indian market at Rs 1.06 lakhs. Around that price tag the Indian market offers three bikes and one scooter. Here is what the grid looks like-
While the Intruder Fi gets a fuel-injection system, you could also have the Intruder with carburettor at Rs 99,995. It gets its name and design inspiration from the bigger Intruder M1800R. The inverted triangle headlamp, large fuel tank and road presence are all derived from the latter. The cruiser is powered by 154cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 14.6bhp and 14Nm of torque. This unit is mated to a five-speed gearbox and final chain drive.
You could also have a streetfighter in the form of the Bajaj Pulsar NS200. While the Intruder gets flowing lines and laid-back riding position, the Pulsar NS200 gets sharp styling and an upright streetfighter stance. Powering the bike is a 199cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that puts out 23.2bhp and 18.3Nm of torque via a six-speed transmission. It is priced at Rs 98,714 for the standard variant and Rs 1,10,714 for the ABS version.
There also is a fully-faired motorcycle on offer. The Yamaha YZF-R15 S gets lower set handlebars and lower set foot pegs. However, unlike the R15 V 3.0, the R15 S gets a single-piece seat. It is powered by a 150cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This unit produces 16bhp and 15Nm of torque via a six-speed gearbox. The Yamaha YZF-R15S is priced at Rs 1.15 lakhs.
Finally, you could opt for the Vespa Elegante 150 around the Intruder Fi’s price tag. The scooter is based on the Vespa VXL 150 although with a two-piece leather seat, metal perimeter guard and tinted fly screen along with an ‘Elegante’ badging on the front apron. Powering the scooter is a 150cc engine which delivers 11.4bhp and 11.5Nm of torque through a CVT transmission. It is priced at Rs 99,150.
