Suzuki Motorcycle India has announced the launch of the Katana in our market at an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 13.61 lakh. The Indian arm of the Japanese manufacturer will offer this litre-class motorcycle in two colours – Metallic Mystic Silver and Metallic Stellar Blue.
Both colour options are available at the same ex-showroom price tag, and they feature identical graphics. Thus, you would find Suzuki decals on the fuel tank and Katana branding on the side panels. However, the two paint options get different colours for the alloy wheels.
This sporty-looking standard street motorcycle packs design elements such as a semi-fairing, rectangular-shaped headlight, fairing-integrated front turn indicators, muscular fuel tank, single-piece step-up seat, and a rear fender-mounted numberplate and turn indicators. The feature list comprises full-LED lighting, LCD instrument cluster, five-level traction control, three ride modes, low RPM assist, and Suzuki Easy Start System.
The mechanical specifications on the new Katana include a BS6-compliant 999cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 150bhp at 11,000rpm and 106Nm of peak torque at 9,250rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
The bookings for the new Suzuki Katana have commenced across India while the deliveries are expected to start very soon.
