Suzuki has launched the new BS IV-compliant versions of the Hayate EP and the Let’s. The Hayate EP has been priced at Rs 52,574 while the Let’s retails at Rs 47,272 (both ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Hayate EP is Suzuki’s entry-level motorcycle targeted at commuters. The air-cooled single-cylinder engine delivers 8.6bhp and 9.3Nm of torque, and is mated to a four-speed transmission. The Let’s on the other hand is a scooter targeted at a female audience. It is powered by a 112cc engine delivering 8.5bhp and 9Nm of torque through a CVT transmission. Even with the move to BS IV-compliant engines, there has been no change in the power output for both these two wheelers.
There has been a marginal Rs 700 hike in the price of both models. The Hayate EP rivals the Hero Splendor iSmart 110 and the TVS Victor, and is available in three paint schemes – red, black and grey. The Let’s on the other hand goes up against the Honda Activa i, TVS Scooty Zest 110 and the Hero Pleasure, and is offered in blue, grey, red and white paint schemes.
