Suzuki has launched the updated Swish 125 scooter at Rs 51,661 (ex-showroom Delhi). While the scooter is mechanically identical to the previous model, it has been given some comprehensive cosmetic updates.
The new Swish 125 gets a revised instrument cluster, which includes a digital speedometer, service reminder, dual trip meters and a digital clock. It also gets a new maintenance free battery, tubeless tyres and a steel fender. The headlamp assembly has also been updated with new multi reflector light, which is flanked on both sides by blue-tinted position lights.
Speaking about the new product, Mr Atul Gupta, executive VP, Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) said, “We believe that the Suzuki Swish, with its new features, is in tune with changing market demands. We expect the smart, youthful look to appeal to young urban riders. The new features will enhance ownership experience through easier user interface, better riding comfort and additional maintenance features, ensuring that the new Swish is a perfect ride for all age groups. We are confident that the new Suzuki Swish will be a scooter to reckon with, in the 125 cc segment.”
The Swish 125 is powered by a 124cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, which delivers 8.5bhp and 9.8Nm of torque through a CVT gearbox. It gets a telescopic suspension in the front and a conventional coil spring at the rear. It gets 120mm drum brakes on both the ends.
The Swish 125 has also been updated with new decals and four new paint schemes - metallic sonic silver/glass sparkle black, pearl mirage white, glass sparkle black and candy dark cherry red/glass sparkle black. The prices of the new Swish 125 have been hiked by almost Rs 3,000 and it rivals the other 125cc scooter in this price range, the Mahindra Duro.
