Suzuki Motorcycle India has announced that it has resumed production at its manufacturing facility in Kherki Dhaula, Gurugram. The company said in a press statement that it is ensuring the implementation of stringent safety norms and social distancing guidelines directed by the Government of India.
The safety guidelines include social distancing, using masks, periodic sanitisation and avoiding movement in large groups. The company has also installed a disinfectant chamber for individuals to pass through every day.
Koichiro Hirao, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India said in the press announcement that the company will resume operation with a limited workforce and will gradually shift to full production cycle as per the Government’s directive. Hirao further added that Suzuki Motorcycle India has implemented detailed operating guidelines with an emphasis on social distancing to ensure maximum precautions are taken.
Suzuki Motorcycle India had suspended its manufacturing operations from 23 March 2020 following the nationwide lockdown to curb the growth of the Coronavirus pandemic.
