Suzuki Motorcycle India has announced that it has temporarily suspended production at its manufacturing plant at Kherki Dhaula, Gurgaon till further notice. The two-wheeler brand announced in a press statement that the precautionary measures are taken due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Koichiro Hirao, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India, said that the priority of the company is to ensure the health and safety of its employees and all stakeholders. The Indian arm of the Japanese two-wheeler brand has announced a `Work from Home’ advisory to its employees and associates who are not involved with maintaining essential services.
In other updates, the company has updated several of its products to comply with the BS6 emission norms. The BS6 compliant iterations of the Access 125, Burgman Streer, Gixxer, Gixxer SF and the Intruder have already available for sale. Considering that the BS6 deadline is set on 31 March 2020, we expect to hear the launch of more BS6 models very soon. We have already reported the prices of the BS6 compliant Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250, and the models should be available very soon.
