Suzuki Motorcycle India has announced that it will be participating in the road safety week organised by the Delhi Transport Department. This road safety week will be held from January 11 - January 17. During this week, the officials will hold many rallies to sensitise people to the importance of safe riding and driving.
Suzuki Motorcycle India, along with the transport officials, will distribute a variety of educational banners, safety posters, pocket guides, leaflets and also showcase films related to road safety.
"As a responsible automobile company, it is imperative that we are active participants in the initiative that educates and encourages people to drive safely. Two wheeler drivers are at a higher risk on the roads. The key to safe driving is a combination of defensive driving, adherence to traffic rules, situational awareness and common road sense. Suzuki is pleased to be associated with an initiative that may save the lives of countless motorists and pedestrians," said Atul Gupta, executive vice president, Suzuki Motorcycle India.
This is a very good step by the Gurgaon-based manufacturer. However, its competitor from the same region, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, is more aggressive when it comes to road safety. It has started safety parks in many cities to trains young men and women on various safe riding aspects.
