- 27 per cent sales growth registered
- A total of 65,470 units were sold in February
Suzuki Motorcycle India, a subsidiary of Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Suzuki Motor Corporation, has registered a positive growth of 27 per cent in the month of February. The company managed to sell a total of 65,630 units (domestic + exports) in the entire month as compared to 51,831 units in the corresponding month last year. In terms of cumulative figures, the company has managed to sell 6,80,470 units from April 2018 till February 2019, thus registering a growth of 30 per cent from the 5,22,929 units that were sold during the same period last year.
Besides that, the brand’s 125cc scooter, Access 125, has surpassed the TVS Jupiter and is now the second highest selling scooter in India after the Honda Activa. Subsequently, the company is also said to be working on an updated version of the Gixxer which is likely to be introduced in the market by July.
