Suzuki Motorcycle India has registered a 49.6 per cent decline in sales for July 2020 wherein it sold 31,421 motorcycles and scooters in the country.
In comparison, the manufacturer had sold 69,326 units in July 2019. Exports also took a hit of around 56 per cent as Suzuki managed to sell 2,991 units overseas last month as against 6,870 units in the same period last year.
Nevertheless, on the bright side, the Japanese bike maker has witnessed a 37 per cent jump in sales as compared to June 2020 amid the Covid-19 lockdown in the country. Suzuki attributes its increase in sales to the Suzuki at Your Doorstep initiative that is currently available in 279 dealerships across India wherein individuals can purchase a motorcycle or scooter from the brand online.
