The Suzuki GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F have been launched in the UK. Apart from new paint schemes, the litre-class streetfighters now feature a slipper clutch and a small bump in power and torque.
The Suzuki GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F powertrains had to be updated to meet Euro yIV emission norms. In the process, the company also increased the power output of the 999cc inline four engine from 140bhp to 150bhp and the peak torque has been boosted from 106Nm to 108Nm. Both the bikes also gain a slipper clutch. They are now offered in two dual-tone paint schemes - blue/black and red/black. The levers and foot controls are painted in black. The supersport bike also benefits from a tinted windscreen.
The naked Suzuki GSX-S1000 retails at GBP 9,699 (Rs 8.04 lakh) while the GSX-S1000F is priced at GBP 10,299 (Rs 8.54 lakh). Suzuki has also launched a limited edition Phantom paint scheme for both the bikes, which are priced Rs 16,590 over the standard variants. Both the standard GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F are sold in India as CBUs. We can expect these to be launched in India over the next couple of months.
