Suzuki Motorcycle India reported a 7.5 per cent dip in sales for April 2022. The manufacturer sold 71,987 motorcycles and scooters last month against 77,849 units in April 2021.
Of that number, Suzuki sold 54,327 units in India in April, a de-growth from last year’s domestic sale number of 63,879 units. On the other hand, exports grew substantially year-on-year. The company’s overseas sales grew from 13,970 in April 2021 to 17,660 in April 2022.
While the Access 125 and Burgman continue to be the highest selling models in India, the Gixxer series that is exported from the country is quite popular, especially in Asian countries. That said, Suzuki also recently launched the VStrom 250 SX in India. Although, unlike the international model, it is based on the Gixxer 250 that is sold here.
