Suzuki has been working on an electric version of its famous scooter – the Burgman Street. This e-scooter might make its India debut on November 18.
According to a recent media invite by Suzuki, the Indian market would see a mainstream scooter from the company. This invite had a teaser text that said ‘Witness the unveiling of more…per…’ While this statement doesn’t really confirm the e-scooter launch, but as of now, we have managed to see only test mules of the Burgman Street e-scooter.
If the company would be planning some new scooter or motorcycle launch, we would have already seen some of these test mules on Indian roads. However, nothing of that sort has happened yet, so it makes us believe that the Burgman Street e-scooter could make its presence felt on November 18.
Currently, more brands are planning to launch electric scooters. Hero MotoCorp could launch one early next year. TVS and Bajaj already have their products in the market. We can expect Honda and Yamaha to join the bandwagon soon.
