The Suzuki GSX-S750 and the Burgman Street made their debut at the Auto Expo, earlier this year, although the company stopped short of announcing the prices. Now though, our sources hint that both these two-wheelers will go on sale by the end of the next quarter.
The GSX-S750 will be launched in India first, and will then be followed by the Burgman Street. The GSXS750 is a middleweight streetfighter with styling cues inspired by the litre-class GSX-S1000. Powering it is a 749cc in-line four cylinder engine that delivers 113bhp and 81Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The Burgman Street shares the platform with Suzuki’s best-seller, the Access 125. While the Access gets conservative looks, the Burgman Street gets trendy styling cues inspired by the middleweight maxi scooter – the Burgman. The 125cc unit churns out 8.5bhp and 10.2Nm of torque.
The GSX-S750 will be the second locally assembled big bike by Suzuki in India after the Hayabusa. And just like the Hayabusa, we can expect the GSX-S750 to be priced competitively thanks to the lower tax slabs applicable on CKD motorcycles. As for the Burgman Street, we can expect it to be priced around Rs 70,000.
