The new Suzuki Access 125 is going to be launched in India on March 15. Featuring a host of cosmetic and technical updates, the new Access 125 will be pitted against the Honda Activa 125 and the Vespa VXL 125 in the premium scooter segment.
The new Suzuki Access 125 gets a slew of cosmetic changes including a new retro design for the front apron, revised bodywork and boxy chrome-rimmed headlamp. The vertically elongated turn indicators are placed on the front apron, which also has the brand’s emblem. The instrument cluster design is also new, and now integrates a digital multi-information display.
At the heart of the new Access 125 is a 125cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, which delivers 8.7bhp and 10Nm of torque through a CVT transmission. This engine comes armed with the Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology. The front 12-inch wheel rides on telescopic forks while the rear 10-inch wheel rides on a swingarm-linked mono-shock. The Access 125 also gets the option of alloy wheels or steel wheels.
Though the new Suzuki Access 125 was first unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo, the company had stopped short of announcing the prices. The new Access 125 will be available in five paint schemes - blue, white, gray, red and black. Deliveries are expected to commence right after the launch.
