Suzuki is gearing up to launch their middle-weight adventure bike, the V-Strom 650 in India very soon. This bike made its India debut at the 2018 Auto Expo.
The Japanese maker have alerted a few dealers across the country to prepare for this launch. The V-Strom 650 was earlier planned to launch in July but was pushed by a few weeks so that majority of the attention went to the Burgan Street which was launched last week. The launch of the V-Strom 650 is now scheduled for early September.
The V-Strom looks just like its elder sibling, the V-Strom 1000. It is powered by a 650cc liquid-cooled V-Twin that is known for its accessible torque. The V-Strom 650 is fitted with ABS, traction control system as standard. This Japanese adventure bike is available in two variants - standard and 650XT. The latter gets additional off-road equipment like hand guards, engine protection and spoke wheels.
Suzuki plans to price the V-Strom 650 very competitively in the Indian market. In order to do that, the company will assembled the bike in its Haryana facility. Once launched, it will go against the Kawasaki Versys 650 and the soon-to-be launched Benelli TRK 502.
