Suzuki will unveil a new scooter at the upcoming 2018 Auto Expo. This new scooter will be launched at the latter half of 2018.
According to our sources, the Japanese manufacturer doesn’t plan to bring the new Swish 125 to this biennial event. Rather, it plans to showcase an all new scooter that will be very stylish and will be loaded with some interesting features. Unfortunately, there’s no word on its performance, whether it will be powered by a 125cc or a 150cc motor. But if the current trend is to be believed, Suzuki would want to have another 125cc scooter that will help it gain more share in the space. There’s Piaggio doing business in the 150cc scooter space, but the numbers are currently small for Suzuki to do some serious business.
Recently, Suzuki announced that it will focus more in the premium two-wheeler space rather than the competitive mass market segment. The launch of the Intruder was the first step and it plans to have more such launches to achieve their new plan. The Japanese manufacturer will also launch the GSX-S750 at the upcoming expo, which will be sold as completely-knocked-down (CKD) unit. This motorcycle will rival the Kawasaki Z900 and the Triumph Street Triple S.
