Suzuki Two-Wheelers has announced that its February sales have increased by 12.81 per cent. The company sold 30,467 units in February 2015 as compared to 27,007 units in the corresponding month last year.
The biggest credit for this double digit growth goes to the Gixxer, which came last year. Being in the competitive premium commuter segment, the Gixxer has managed to have a large fan base. Also, updating the Access and the Swish has helped garner more sales for the company.
“Consumers have responded positively to the launch of new generation Swish and the Access in the past few months. The Gixxer and the Let’s have also been well received by customers and both factors have worked to our advantage,” said Atul Gupta, executive vice-president, Suzuki Motorcycle India.
Suzuki is gearing up to launch the fully-faired version of the Gixxer, which will compete with the Yamaha YZF-R15. The Gurgaon-based manufacturer is tight-lipped over its launch, but we can expect it to happen in the next few months.
