Suzuki has unveiled the 2018 version of the Gixxer and Gixxer SF-Fi at the on-going Auto Expo.
For 2018, the bikes get a new ‘candy red’ and ‘mettalic silver’ colours. These paint schemes are available alongside the existing blue and black colours. Apart from these changes, the bikes remain the same mechanically. The Gixxer is powered by a 155cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that delivers 14.6bhp and 14Nm of torque through a five-speed transmission. The Gixxer SF-Fi sports the same engine and power output; however, it includes a fuel-injection system.
Both bikes ride on conventional telescopic front forks and a seven-step adjustable rear monoshock. The brake setup consists of front disc and rear drum brake. However, Suzuki also offers a rear disc brake as an optional extra.
The Suzuki Gixxer and Gixxer SF-Fi go head on against the Yamaha FZ-S Version 2.0, Honda CB Hornet 160R, TVS Apache RTR 160 in the Indian market.
