Suzuki has unveiled the semi-faired Inazuma GW250S at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show. The new motorcycle is based on the naked Inazuma GW250 platform, looks unconventional to say the least.
The semi-faired design makes a decent case of being a good tourer with wide handlebars that are placed in such a way that it makes the rider to sit in the upright position. The Inazuma GW250S is powered by a 248cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that powers the Inazuma 250. The engine produces 26bhp at 8500rpm and torque of 24.2Nm. The engine is known for low and mid-range power with decent fuel efficiency and is mated to six-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle will be manufactured by Changzhou Haujue Suzuki Motorcycle Company in China and will be exported to some international markets.
The Inazuma GW250 was recently spotted in India and the launch is due in next few months. However, we think India won’t get the GW250S motorcycle anytime soon. But if its street version performs well in the price sensitive Indian market, then the Japanese manufacturer may consider offering the GW250S here.
