Suzuki has showcased the V-Strom 800 DE at the Japan Mobility Show 2023. The bike was recently spotted testing in India and here is what we know about the Japanese ADV.
On the design front, the Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE features a vertically stacked LED headlight topped by a transparent visor. Then, there’s a secondary fender below it, and the bike gets a wide handlebar with knuckle guards and a single-piece seat. Further, the V-Strom 800DE is equipped with a top box and pannier mounts to make the most of its touring capabilities.
Powering the Suzuki V-Strom DE is a 776cc, twin-cylinder engine that makes 83bhp and 78Nm and is linked to a six-speed gearbox. It is nestled in a steel frame suspended on fully adjustable Showa USD front forks and a rear monoshock. Then, the braking hardware comprises twin front discs and a single rear disc mounted on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels combo wrapped in Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour tyres.
Its list of features includes LED illumination, five-inch TFT, traction control, ride-by-wire, low RPM assist, bi-directional quickshifter, ABS, ride modes, and more.
Suzuki has been testing the bike in India and we expect the V-Strom 800 DE to be launched in India by the end of this year. It will rival the Triumph Tiger 900 and the BMW F850 GS and could be priced at around Rs. 12 lakh (ex-showroom).
