- Yellow colour looks the best
- Bike has been priced at Rs. 10.30 lakh
- Rivals Honda’s Transalp 750
Suzuki finally launched the much-awaited V-Strom 800 DE in India yesterday. This motorcycle has been priced at Rs. 10.30 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
This Japanese adventure bike will be available in three paint schemes – Champion Yellow, Glass Mat Mechanical Gray, and Glass Sparkle Black. These colours look quite good on the motorcycle, but the yellow one makes the bike stand out.
With such pricing, the Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE has become India’s most affordable big adventure bike. It has undercut almost all of its competition by a good margin and as a result, the V-Strom 800 DE is likely to find many takers in India.
The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE gets its power from a 776cc, parallel-twin, DOHC motor that is paired with a six-speed gearbox. With a 270-degree crankshaft, it produces 84bhp at 8,500rpm and 78Nm at 6,800rpm.
This motorcycle is equipped with some modern features like a five-inch colour TFT display, USB charging port, LED lights and Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.). In this system, there is a Suzuki drive mode selector, Suzuki traction control system with Gravel mode, ride-by-wire throttle, bi-directional quickshifter, ABS modes, low RPM assist, and the Suzuki Easy Start system.
The V-Strom 800 DE competes with the Honda Transalp 750, BMW F850 GS and the Triumph Tiger 900.
