Suzuki has launched the highly awaited V-Strom 800DE in India. It is their brand-new adventure motorcycle that slots above the very impressive V-Strom 650. Suzuki has been mindful about the pricing of the V-Strom 800DE and by launching it at Rs 10.30 lakh, ex-showroom, they’ve hit it out of the park. The rest of the competition is significantly more expensive than the V-Strom 800DE. Here’s how much the bike costs in the top cities of India.
City | On-road price |
Mumbai | Rs 12.81 lakh |
Bengaluru | Rs 12.82 lakh |
Delhi | Rs 11.57 lakh |
Pune | Rs 12.81 lakh |
Navi Mumbai | Rs 12.81 lakh |
Hyderabad | Rs 11.99 lakh |
Ahmedabad | Rs 11.37 lakh |
Kolkata | Rs 11.78 lakh |
As one can clearly see, the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE is the least expensive in Ahmedabad and the most expensive in Bengaluru. Kolkata, Delhi, Hyderabad are the only other cities apart from Ahmedabad where the on-road price is lower than Rs 12 lakh.
The V-Strom 800DE has a lot riding on its shoulders as it enters a pretty competitive market. The prices surely help as its ex-showroom price is cheaper than competition like the Honda Transalp XL750 by Rs 70,000.
To recap, the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE is powered by a 776cc, DOHC, parallel-twin engine that makes 84bhp and 78Nm. It is paired with a six-speed transmission. The bike has adjustable suspension at both ends, while braking duties are taken care of by twin discs at the front and a disc at the rear. You can read more about the V-Strom 800DE here.
