- Likely to be launched in March 2024
- Expected to be priced around Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 11 lakh (ex-showroom)
- Will be powered by a 776cc, parallel-twin motor
The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE has been unveiled in India at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024 alongside the GSX-8R. The adventure tourer will rival the likes of the Triumph Tiger 900, BMW F850 GS, and the Honda Transalp 750.
Although Suzuki is non-committal about its launch timeline, we expect the V-Strom 800DE to be launched in India sometime in March 2024. Expect the bookings to commence closer to the official launch. The ADV will be imported in India via the CKD route, so expect an aggressive pricing of around Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 11 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE will draw power from a 776cc, parallel-twin motor that churns out 83bhp and 78Nm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle is underpinned by a steel chassis that is hinged on fully adjustable Showa USD forks up front and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. Being an ADV, it rides on a 21-inch front and a 17-inch rear spoke wheel setup wrapped in Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour tyres.
The V-Strom 800DE will come packed with features such as a five-inch TFT, LED illumination, traction control system, ride-by-wire throttle, bi-directional quickshifter, multiple ride modes, and more.
