- Powered by a 776cc, parallel-twin engine
- Could be priced around Rs. 10-11 lakh
The official launch date for the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE for India has been revealed and the event is slated for 29 March 2023. That is just a couple of days from today. Moreover, Suzuki Motorcycles India’s social media handles have also teased the same.
For starters, the bike is already on sale in the international market. It was also spotted testing in north India a couple of times. So, we already know what it looks like and what to expect in terms of its features, engine figures, hardware, and overall design. That said, the Japanese bikemaker also took the opportunity to showcase the V-Strom 800 DE at the Bharat Mobility Show.
Powering the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE is a 776cc, parallel-twin engine that makes 83bhp and 78Nm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox and benefits from a bi-directional quickshifter too. In terms of features, the Japanese ADV comes loaded with full LED illumination, a five-inch TFT display, traction control, and ride modes.
Its hardware includes USD front forks and a remote preload adjustable monoshock. Then, the braking duties are done by dual 310mm front and a single rear disc with dual-channel ABS. These are mounted on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels wrapped in 110/80 front and 150/70 rear tubeless tyres from Dunlop.
The V-Strom 800DE will be one of the big launches from Suzuki in the past few years. We expect it to cost Rs. 10–11 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Once launched, the bike will rival the BMW 850 GS and the Triumph Tiger 900.
