To give you a recap, the newest iteration of the flagship Suzuki adventure-tourer takes styling inspiration from the DR-Z desert racer and the DR-Big ADV. The styling is complemented by features such as full-LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster and a plethora of electronics. The Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S) includes:
- Motion Track Brake System
- Hill Hold Control System
- Slope Dependent Control System and Load Dependent Control System
- Cruise Control
- Ride-by-wire Electronic Throttle System
- Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS)
- Traction Control System
- New inertial measurement unit (IMU) that works on 6-direction along 3-axis
The standard V-Strom 1050 misses most of the features listed above, and it only gets Ride-by-wire Electronic Throttle System, Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS) and Traction Control System.
Both models are powered by a 1037cc, 90-degree V-twin, liquid-cooled motor that makes 105bhp of power and 100Nm of peak torque. The engine benefits from Low RPM assist, Suzuki Easy Start and Suzuki Clutch Assist System.
