- V-Strom 160 pictures leaked
- Designed by Suzuki’s Chinese partner
- India might get 250cc variant
Suzuki’s Chinese partner Haujue has developed a new motorcycle in the form of adventure touring. Recently, the patent pictures of this bike were leaked online that revealed quite a few details.
Firstly, the bike gets the V-Strom styling. There’s a large front break, big windscreen, muscular fuel tank, wide single-piece seat and a big grab rail. This makes us believe that when this bike makes its international debut it will definitely get the V-Strom tag. Also, a close look at the engine reveals its 160cc intention. It looks quite similar to the ones seen on the Haojue DR160S. This 162cc motor makes around 15bhp and 14Nm of peak torque.
In terms of design, this motorcycle does look quite appealing. But when you look at the spec sheet, the bike doesn’t feel enticing. So it is clear that this motorcycle will be primarily sold only in China. But expect other countries to get the same motorcycle but with a larger engine.
Suzuki won’t launch this motorcycle in India as there is no market for it. But it can definitely bring a V-Strom 250 with engine from the Gixxer 250. That way, the company would be able to explore a new segment and also make good money at the same time.
